Elected to the board in 2021, Gareth is currently Superintendent Pharmacist and Professional Services Manager at Sheppard’s Pharmacy.

Gareth qualified as an independent prescriber in 2019 and has been part of the community pharmacy independent prescribing pathfinder service. 

Gareth is passionate about pharmacy services and keen on the development and use of technology in health, sitting on working groups such as the Choose Pharmacy Clinical Reference Group, Digital Medicines Management Group and the Electronic Prescribing Expert Panel.

Gareth is also Primary Care Cluster Community Pharmacy Lead for Rhondda and is focused on improving collaboration both between pharmacy sectors and between pharmacy and other health providers more broadly.
