RPS Medicines Safety Award 2012

Medicines safety underpins our vision of pharmacists as guardians of patient safety and welfare, maximising the benefits of medicines and minimising the risks caused by adverse effects. It is a significant part of our outward facing role and continuing mission to present pharmacists to other healthcare professionals and the public as the ‘experts in medicines’.

This award will recognise individuals or teams who have made specific improvements in medicines safety, with documented benefits for patients, saving lives or reducing harm. The award will be presented at the RPS Medicines Safety Symposium on Sunday 17 June 2012, at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, London where the recipient will be expected to give a short presentation of their work.

Closing date for submission was 27 April 2012.
