In May 2011 there will be elections to the Scottish Parliament. Whoever wins the election will face tough challenges meeting the country's healthcare needs at a time of reduced government funding. The Board wants to make sure that those seeking election and power take on board the views of Scotland's pharmacists, and therefore we consulted you to make sure we knew your views.

The Board is determined that this manifesto will represent the whole of the profession in Scotland. To do this successfully we have to listen to the voice of the membership and make sure the manifesto reflects what you all have to say.

We're now putting together the manifesto itself based on what you've told us and we'll be making sure that the political parties take the needs of pharmacy on board.
