English Pharmacy Board

Welcome to the English Pharmacy Board page. We represent all members who live in England, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man together with overseas members. 

We were set up specifically to ensure that many different sectors of pharmacy are represented at board level. We have members from community - contractor, employee and locum, members from hospital practice and members from industry, academia and public health. This breadth of practical knowledge at board level enables us to understand the issues as they relate to members and not just in a theoretical way. 

The English Pharmacy Board is concerned with listening to members and Local Practice Forums will each have a board member attached to it.

The English Pharmacy Board has set an ambitious leadership program for 2011 which will deliver on the boards elected mandate to support members in England.

The five key areas of focus are:

1. Achieving the Society vision for the profession
2. Professional empowerment
3. Responding to government policy
4. Medication safety
5. Local practice forum development
