World Pharmacists Day

World Pharmacists Day - 25 September

Each year, the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) encourages member organisations and pharmacists worldwide to participate in this event on 25 September, the day that FIP was founded on in 1912.

The theme of this year’s World Pharmacists Day is Access to pharmacists is access to health. With 70% of pharmacists working in the community and 95% of us no more than a 20 minute drive away from a pharmacy, pharmacists provide the public with easy access to health on a daily basis.

As the Royal Pharmaceutical Society celebrates World Pharmacists Day, the public voting for our I Love My Pharmacist competition in partnership with Woman’s Weekly magazine begins.

Earlier this year we started a nationwide search for pharmacists who provide that access to health and have gone the extra mile for their patients. Five pharmacists have now been shortlisted and the public will soon be able to vote for the winner of I Love My Pharmacist.

Nominees to be announced soon!

Tell us how you're providing access to health and discuss your ideas, thoughts and examples of best practice with other pharmacists.
