Less than £4 a week - Network

We're building pharmacy's biggest network, to put you in touch with experts. Like yourself.

We believe that when we connect with each other, share our knowledge, ideas and expertise we become stronger, both individually and as a profession.

That's why as a member of the Society you'll have access to a wide range of opportunities to connect with other pharmacists.

You may feel isolated. You needn't. Be part of a network where thousands of pharmacists are sharing their expertise, locally, nationally and internationally.

Local practice forums

Local practice forums are the perfect way to meet like-minded professionals, to share ideas and experiences and learn from
those of others. Our local practice forum network has been developed with members in mind, with over 50 forums established
throughout the whole of Great Britain. You will be allocated to an LPF based on your geographical location, but you can easily
change this if you’d prefer a different one – nearer to work for example. Or you can sign up to more than one.

As well as being the place where many of our services are delivered they also enable you to network with peers. This includes both face to face meetings as well as online discussions through your local practice forums networks area on our website. This online space allows you to discuss local issues with other pharmacists in your area, find out how your colleagues have dealt with similar situations and keep up to date with upcoming events and the latest news.

As local practice forums are member driven, their exact make up will be different in each area based on the local needs. However, there will be core services that they will offer.

The six core functions of an LPF are:

• Support for education, continuing professional development and revalidation
• Local leadership
• Practice and science research
• Sharing best practice
• Improved networking
• Mentoring

Whether you’re looking for help to develop your career, want a sounding board for ideas or are able to help others benefit from your experience, our mentoring service can help.

Events programme

Our annual programme of events, which currently includes residential technical and scientific training courses, one day courses on topical issues and an annual conference and exhibition, provides you with excellent opportunities to network with other professionals – sharing expertise and discussing the latest thinking.
