Practice guidance and professional support tools

As a member you’ll get access to practical guidance and professional support tools which will help you keep abreast of any changes or developments which affect your practice. We’ll interpret new regulations so you understand on day one what they mean for you. Our support tools include quick reference guides as well as more detailed toolkits and resource packs. All of our guidance and support tools can be accessed via our website.

 

Career support

If you’re considering changing sectors, returning after a break or would like inspiration on career development contact our support team via phone, email or online.

If you’re returning to practice after a career break we can help point you in the right direction. Whether through our website or our support team we can help you find the support that’s right for you, so you can step back in to the workplace, secure in the knowledge that you are competent and confident in your ability to practise. This might include shadowing another pharmacist within the pharmacy setting you’re returning to or getting support from one of our online groups.

 

Research support

Support to enhance your knowledge and skills to use and undertake research. Our regular bulletins include current practice research examples as well as information on specific areas such as designing a research project and incorporating research into practice.

 

Library support services

The library is your first port of call if you are having difficulties finding the information you need. It supports and advises members looking for information by providing search services, help with finding information resources and information skills training.

 

Historical services

Our expert team is available to answer all queries relating to British pharmacy history, including historical medicines, enquiries about ancestors working in pharmacy and supply of content for talks. Online exhibitions, information sheets and educational resources for research, with specific tools for pharmacy students and lecturers are also available.
