Carboys, cosmetics & chemists: exploring colour in pharmacy
From the colourful plants used for medicinal purposes in the 1600s to today's modern brightly decorated pills, pharmacy and colour have a long & varied history.
Colour was, and still is used to advertise medicines and the shops that sell them, help to store drugs safely, make us that little bit more beautiful, and one day it could even save your life.
We've put together an interesting online exhibition detailing the history & the uses of colour in pharmacy.
