Career: Roger is Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham and a specialist pharmacist in pain management at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

For nearly ten years, his main role was to provide a clinical pharmacy service to the Anaesthetics directorate and the Pain Management Service and also has Trust-wide responsibility for handling and administration of Controlled Drugs, including opioids.

Roger was instrumental in the development of PAIN (Pharmacist Analgesia Interest Network). He currently chairs the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association Pain Management Group and is an elected member of the British Pain Society Council.

Media Work: Roger provides regular comment on issues facing long term illnesses and pain management. He has represented the Society through both online and traditional media, including BBC Regional Radio.
