Education Expert Advisory Panel
In March 2011, thirty two experts in pharmacy education and training were appointed to the new RPS Education Expert Advisory Panel (Ed EAP), the first chair of which will be Sandy Florence, Emeritus Professor and former Dean of the School of Pharmacy, University of London. The Ed EAP was established to provide strategic and policy advice on pharmacy education to the RPS Assembly and national boards, to support the research and advocacy efforts of pharmacy ,to respond to government consultations, and to serve as spokespersons on emerging issues.
In recognition of the high quality of all the nominations received for the Ed EAP, l nominees not on the Ed-EAP were invited to serve on an Educational Reference Group (ERG) that will provide a further, broader spectrum of expertise and experience to RPS.
Helen Gordon, RPS CEO, remarked, “We are delighted to have secured the help of such a talented group to help the Society, its members and the profession at such an important time of change in education and also in healthcare. We are keen to harness the Panel’s expertise and enthusiasm across the education and development agenda.”
