Domiciliary Medicines Management Group

Domiciliary medicines management pharmacists and pharmacy technicians often work on their own or in small teams. The work is often commissioned locally and service specifications and delivery varies tremendously from locality to locality; sometimes provided by secondary care, by primary care or by community pharmacy. The common link is that someone with pharmaceutical skills visits patients in their own homes to help them safely get the best from their medicines; to deliver medicines optimisation in the front room.

Until now the disparate way this work has been commissioned has meant there has been no easy way for the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing these services to network, share ideas and to spread good practice. The RPS Domiciliary Medicines Management virtual network is designed to provide a solution to this issue. It is there to be embraced.
