It's 2019, a lot has happened in pharmacy, and RPS has been at the heart of the story throughout.

We’ve been shaping, informing and building the profession for the benefit of every single one of our members.

A word from our CEO and President

The RPS in 2018

Working for every member

Workforcegrouppharmacists (1)636922309974374570 We’ve been adapting and building our services across Great Britain, helping all our members, so they’re equipped, educated and enthused to face the challenges of 2019 and beyond.

Working for pharmacy

We’ve helped create 2,000 new pharmacy jobs in the past year across care homes, urgent care and GP practices - and we’re lobbying for 5,000 more to fulfil NHS Plans.

In the last year we've launched new campaigns and policy documents for:

Voiceofpharmacists

To meet the challenges of Brexit we’ve been speaking to governments, departments of health, the NHS and other health bodies.

We've been briefing key members of the House of Lords and the Scottish Parliament, and produced FAQs to help clarify at least some of the complex issues and problems.

We overhauled our website, rpharms.com, making it easier to read, simpler to access content and nicer to look at.

We rebranded ourselves, aiming to be more relevant, empathetic and inspirational to all of our members.

We opened new communication channels, such as Instagram and LinkedIn, and continued to offer new content, including podcasts and webinars, to show a more human face of pharmacy and be more of a presence in our members’ lives.

Dialoguepharmacistpatient

And we listened to our members, to deliver the support and services that pharmacists everywhere want.

For example, after an overwhelming survey response, we’re launching a brand-new and improved mentoring platform in 2019.

Recognition in 2018

Recognition for the profession and its practitioners will always be one of our top priorities.

We're campaigning and lobbying on your behalf, ensuring the public, the media and government are all aware of the invaluable work of pharmacists.
