Professional experience and particular interests:
SID is an independent contractor and is regularly found over the counter at his own 'Healthy Living Pharmacy' in Bishopstoke near Southampton where he works full-time. He is an independent prescribing, immunising and vaccinating community pharmacist who has been involved in implementing clinical pharmacy services since he qualified in 1994. He is also an outreach pharmacist holding regular clinics from a wellbeing wagon and a café. He has had numerous appearances on TV news, consumer programmes, radio, newspaper and magazines. In 2014 Womans Own magazine voted him the first ever recipient of ‘Britains Best pharmacist’ award.
SID has had over 500 articles published and presented over 400 times nationally and internationally. He believes strongly in membership representation, pharmacist support, pharmaceutical care/medicines management, medicine optimisation, international affairs, information management and technology, public health and rural and veterinary medicine. He was past Treasurer of the RPS (2011-2016) and currently serves as the representative on the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union.
SID started out as hospital pharmacist before becoming a locum and a community pharmacy manager. His past professional appointments have included the PSNC, RPSGB Council, Chair of various committees and Professional Secretary to two London LPCs.

Other interests/hobbies: Sid owns various businesses outside pharmacy, has nearly 40 pets, supports wildlife projects, is an advanced PADI open water diver, restores classical cars and was a Surrey County chess player.
