Call to celebrate and share best practice at RPS May event

Celebrating the fantastic work of pharmacy teams across Scotland is the aim of an RPS Scotland event to take place on 29 May 2022.

After the challenges of the Covid pandemic, RPS hopes this event will bring pharmacists together to share best practice and innovation in an event that is being built around positivity and celebration.

From today, pharmacy teams in Scotland are invited to submit their examples of best practice via a form on the RPS website at www.rpharms.com/scotland/sharing-best-practice

Submissions will be judged by a panel of RPS board members, expert advisors and staff. Pharmacy teams submitting the best examples will be invited to speak at the May event. Furthermore, delegates on the day will be invited to vote for a winning presenter who will win a travel and accommodation bursary to attend the RPS annual conference in London.

The event’s theme of celebration will be underpinned by the RPS Scotland vision for the future of pharmacy, Pharmacy 2030. Workshops will explore how change is already being achieved, such as supporting professional development, embedding independent prescribing, harnessing digital innovation and addressing health inequalities.

The event will also be an opportunity to renew local networking in Scotland through a new RPS Regional structure to be launched on the day.

You can book your place at the event here: https://eu-admin.eventscloud.com/website/7631/

Clare Morrison, RPS Director for Scotland, said:

“Pharmacy teams have worked so hard for the past two years and many of us have missed the opportunities to meet colleagues across the country.

“We hope this event will bring people together to share and celebrate in a really positive atmosphere. We are delighted we will be joined at the event by Alison Strath, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, and leaders from a number of pharmacy organisations in Scotland: all with the aim of celebrating pharmacy.”
