Changes to COVID-19 self-isolation period- (England Only)

The self-isolation advice for people with coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed. For people who are fully vaccinated, it is now possible to end self-isolation after 7 days, following 2 negative lateral flow device (LFD) tests taken 24 hours apart. The first LFD test should not be taken before the sixth day.

Guidance on self-isolation can be found on the GOV.UK website. For staff in health and social care settings see section 2.2.

It is thought these measures may help with reducing staff shortages.

The RPS coronavirus (COVID-19) web page is being updated regularly and has guidance on maintaining wellbeing, ethical decision making tools, contingency planning and providing pharmacy services during the pandemic resources.
