JCVI statement on vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 years old

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have reviewed evidence on the potential impact of extending COVID-19 vaccination to other children aged 5 to 11. JCVI advises a non-urgent offer of two 10 mcg doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty®) to children aged 5 to 11 years of age who are not in a clinical risk group.

England
The government has accepted updated advice from the JCVI on the vaccination of non at risk 5- to 11-year-olds. Further details on vaccinations for children aged 5 to 11 years old can be found on the NHS England and NHS Improvement website

Scotland
