June update on national board meeting

RPS Boards from England, Scotland and Wales came together for a virtual board meeting today. They were joined by members across GB who could observe remotely and hear first-hand the updates and discussions.

 Key issues included:

  •  The latest updates on projects looking at the future of pharmacy practice in England, Scotland and Wales
  • The launch of 14 new RPS Regions to support local engagement for the whole membership. Find out how you can become a regional ambassador.
  • A review of our member participation and communications. Respond to the survey and share your views.
  • A look ahead to this year's RPS Annual Conference on 11 November, including our call for abstracts (closes 31 July).
  • A discussion on issues around pharmacy governance and supervision, ahead of an expected Government consultation.
  • The RPS EPB expressed support for PDA Safer Pharmacies Charter. All three boards would like RPS and PDA to work together to create a joint statement which reflects both the principles of the PDA Charter and RPS policies and professional standards on wellbeing and safety across all sectors of pharmacy.

You can read the meeting papers online and find out more about the work of our national pharmacy boards.
