Nadia Bukhari FRPharmS becomes first Global Lead for Gender Equity at FIP

RPS Board member Nadia Bukhari has been appointed as one of the FIP Workforce Development Hub Global Leads for gender equity, a role that will progress FIP’s Pharmaceutical Workforce Development Goal 10 — gender and diversity balances

As an active and founding member of FIP, RPS fully supports the need to enhance the role of women in pharmacy and address pay and gender inequality.

Nadia Bukhari FRPharmS has stepped down from the RPS England Pharmacy Board due to these additional commitments. The RPS will continue to work with Nadia and FIP to empower and enable women to lead healthcare systems and improve outcomes for patients.

Commenting on the appointment, Claire Anderson FRPharmS, said

“I can think of no one better to lead on gender equity for FIP, during her time on the RPS England Board Nadia has been a vocal advocate for women. More than this Nadia has demonstrated through action how women can take on powerful leadership roles and deliver for the profession and patients. Nadia has being closely involved in education and professional development for RPS and I look forward to working with Nadia in future on both inclusion, diversity and workforce development for pharmacy”
