Ravi Sharma appointed to new NHS Assembly

Influencing the NHS Long Term Plan

RPS Director for England Ravi Sharma has been appointed to the new NHS Assembly.

The Assembly is a national forum of stakeholders from across the health and care system to support the boards of NHS England and NHS Improvement in the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan.

It is formed of individuals drawn from national and frontline clinical leaders, patient leaders, staff representatives, health and care system leaders and voluntary, community and social enterprise sector leaders, who will bring their experience, knowledge and links to wider networks to inform the discussion and debate of the Assembly.

The Assembly will have an agreed programme of work to allow for engagement activity in advance of meetings to help bring wider insight.

Ravi Sharma said: “It’s an exciting opportunity and a privilege to put the pharmacy point of view on the Assembly. The NHS Long Term plan is the blueprint for the future of the NHS in England and pharmacists are an integral part of it.  I look forward to working with colleagues to shape the future delivery of the plan.”
