Update – Fluoxetine Serious Shortage Protocol extensions

The Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) has informed us of extensions to the following Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs).

Fluoxetine 40mg capsules 
The SSP for fluoxetine 40mg capsules is being varied to extend the end date, which was previously 4th September 2020.
The end date for this SSP is now Friday 25th September 2020.

Fluoxetine 10mg tablets 
The SSP for fluoxetine 10mg tablets is being varied to extend the end date, which was previously 11th September 2020.
The end date for this SSP is now Wednesday 31st March 2021.
