We're committed to being disability confident

You told us in our recent survey that disability is the biggest barrier to working in pharmacy, and is also the most important area where more could be done to support inclusion and diversity in the services the profession provides.

This is also important to RPS as an employer. So, we’ve committed to improving how we recruit, retain and develop people with disabilities by signing up to the Government’s Disability Confident scheme.

The scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents people with disabilities can bring to the workplace.

RPS Chief Executive Paul Bennett said: “On the UN International Day of People with Disabilities we’re proud to have pledged to become Disability Confident. We want to remove barriers and make sure people with disabilities have opportunities to fulfil their potential with us. It’s all part of our plans to improve inclusion and diversity at the RPS and across the profession.”
