RPS talks about Welsh restrictions easing on BBC Wales

With rules on face masks changing and the legal requirement for self-isolation coming to an end in Wales this week, RPS Wales have been responding to these changes in the Welsh media.

Appearing on BBC Radio Cymru’s on Monday March 28, RPS Wales Board Member Richard Evans reminded listeners that the health system is still under considerable pressure and urged the public to use common sense and to remain cautious as cases continue to raise.

On the relaxation of rules to wear face coverings in shops and on public transport, Richard reminded listers that the legal requirement to wear masks within health settings, including community pharmacies, remains in place.

He also discussed some of the problems community pharmacies are experiencing in obtaining stocks of lateral flow tests which will no longer be free for regular asymptomatic testing on Thursday, March 31.

Finally he urged patients to remain patient and to recognise the pressures on all pharmacy teams at this time.
