The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a press release which advises that online retailers must follow UK law, as well as the law of the country to which they are selling medicines.
The first step is to check the rules for supplying medicines online as countries within the EEA have different restrictions and some do not allow the online supply of medicines at all. You must check that a particular product has been authorised for use in that country. The authorisation will set out the presentation, packaging and language that must be used.
Further details of the press release and actions to take are available on the MHRA website.
