Public Health England: Pseudomonas Infections associated with cartilage ear piercing

Public Health England has issued a Class 1 Alert as they have been notified of two clusters (East Midlands and South East) of severe Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections following cosmetic piercing procedures. It is probable there is a common product that has become contaminated with Pseudomonas and therefore cases will present in other areas of the country.
