We’re collaborating with The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) on a new series of educational webinars for our members.
NICE is a world leader in guidance development and publish a comprehensive range of evidence-based resources to improve health and social care. These webinars are designed to give pharmacists, whatever stage they are at in their career, the support to use NICE guidance in their practice.
In these sessions, attendees will be hearing directly from NICE to learn about updated practice recommendations as well as practical tips for applying and implementing these.
Gail Fleming, Director of Education and Professional Development, said: “We are delighted to be working with NICE on this exciting new series. These sessions will promote the important work that NICE do, and support pharmacists from all sectors to stay up to date in their practice. When we asked our members last year about CPD topics, this was one that was overwhelmingly popular, so it is a real pleasure to see this initiative come to fruition.”
Eric Power, Programme Director, Centre for Guidelines, NICE, said: “I am very excited that NICE and RPS are working together to support pharmacists to get the most from NICE’s guidance. Pharmacists’ roles are expanding into new clinical areas and NICE guidance can support them to provide high-quality care in these new roles. The event will also provide an opportunity for the pharmacy profession and NICE to build stronger communication links for the future.”
These sessions are open to RPS members, with the first webinar taking place on Thursday 22 April at 7pm. For more details on how to register, click here.
