RPS proud to support Edinburgh Pride

On Saturday 24 June RPS members walked in the Edinburgh Pride Parade as individuals and allies along with APTUK and GHP members to celebrate, raise awareness and advocate for equal rights for LGBTQIA+ people.

RPS Director for Scotland Laura Wilson said:

“We’re so proud to walk with members at Edinburgh Pride, which is a fantastic celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in Scotland. Whilst great strides have been made, the community and its allies continue to seek equality and social acceptance.

“RPS is committed to highlighting and understanding the experiences and challenges faced by the community and building a profession that embraces diversity, values different identities and provides a sense of belonging.”

The march took place during Pride Month, which RPS has also marked by highlighting the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ people including blogs from a pharmacist about becoming a trans man, how to use inclusive language,a panel discussion on how to adopt and support colleagues adopting, and much more.
