RPS to host clinical fellow from Chief Pharmaceutical Officer's Scheme
Applications open until 9th April for the Clinical Fellows Scheme
Applications are invited for Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Clinical Fellow Scheme 2018/19.
The scheme provides early-career pharmacists with a unique opportunity to gain experience and insight into healthcare leadership, policy and strategy by working with senior healthcare leaders in national organisations including the RPS, NHS England, Health Education England, the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education, Bupa, and NICE.
Fellows spend one year involved in, and often independently leading, projects under the guidance of host organisations’ senior leadership teams. As well as the knowledge gained from core projects or workstreams, fellows gain skills in project management, collaboration, strategy, policy development, and team leadership and management.
The scheme is open to early-career pharmacists with a minimum of four years’ post registration experience in pharmacy practice. Candidates are eligible to apply providing they have full GPhC registration and do not hold a formal leadership role.
RPS England Board Chair Sandra Gidley said: "We're very pleased to be hosting a clinical fellow as part of this great scheme. If you're an early careers pharmacist and keen to improve your leadership skills I'd urge you to apply.
