In a joint statement, the organisations said:
“We expect community pharmacies to have given more than 150,000 flu vaccinations by the end of this week so it’s clear that this new Advanced Service is going really well in many areas. Pharmacy teams are obviously doing a brilliant job promoting the service within their local communities and we look forward to seeing this continue.
“Inviting an MP or councillor to a pharmacy to showcase the flu vaccination service is a great way to help promote the service and pharmacy to local politicians. If local media are also involved, then it can also help to promote it to the public to generate wider interest in the service. We hope these resources will make organising such a visit very easy, and we look forward to hearing about some successful visits.”
