The Fellows Dinner is a celebration of those in the profession who have gained recognition from their peers for their contribution to pharmacy. We also see this as a celebration of the diversity of those in RPS Fellowship. This year, the Panel of Fellows, a diverse group of Fellows, have arranged this prestigious dinner on 16th of May at the Honourable Artillery Company, (HAC) in central London.
We recognise that the fellows dinner is taking place during the Holy month of Ramadan again and that this was raised previously by a number of RPS members as a matter of concern. It is most definitely not our intention to create a situation where any Fellow, of whatever faith or belief, feels that they are unable to attend such an event. In future we will ensure that full consideration of religious festivals and religious observances are taken into account before arrangements such as these are made.
As happened last year a member of our Panel of Fellows, Zafar Khan MBE FRPharmS, will be inviting those observing Ramadan to break the fast with him.
We will continue to listen to everyone about how we can continue to make sure we are as accommodating as possible to those who attend our events.
