Preety has over 20 years’ experience in clinical pharmacy and independent prescribing,
spanning across all healthcare interfaces and the criminal justice system. She
worked for the Kent and Medway CCG as the Lead Medicines Optimisation
Pharmacist, the Head of Quality for Primary and Local Care, and recently as the
interim Deputy SRO for the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
Preety led successful quality improvement workstreams such as the Antibiotic Guardian
Award-winning AMS Campaign in Diagnostic Stewardship and the Medicines
Optimisation Medication Review Programme. She is currently working for NHS
England and Improvement as the Regional Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead for the
South East Region and leading on various national and regional Antimicrobial
Prescribing and Medicines Optimisation ( APMO) portfolios and workstreams encompassing
Digital, Diagnostic and Dental stewardship as well as Governance and
Regulation.
She is also the Chair for the NHSEI Regional Medicines
Optimisation Committee (RMOC) APMO Subgroup (South East) and currently sit on
the South East RMOC, the ESPAUR Dental Group and the ESPAUR Oversight Group.
