Primary Care Expert Advisory Group

I qualified as a Pharmacist in 2005 and enjoyed a successful and varied career in both hospital and community pharmacy before moving into general practice in 2018. I completed the NHSE/ CPPE Clinical Pharmacists in General Practice pathway, starting with a prescribing scope in hypertension.

My scope continues to expand and currently includes areas such as coronary heart disease, atrial fibrillation, anticoagulation, osteoporosis, COPD and diabetes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic I have also been using my skills and expertise to support the vaccination programme as vaccinator, medicines advisor and software superuser. I have also been exploring anticoagulant options with patients, supervising other prescribing pharmacists, developing projects to better support people living with diabetes, and leading Structured Medication Reviews for my PCN.

I have a passion for person-centred care and nurturing a ‘multi-disciplinary team’ approach to general practice. When I am not being a pharmacist I enjoy spending time with my two young children, fine dining, and spending time doing city walks.
