Primary Care Expert Advisory Group

Hello, my name is Holly and I currently work as the Lead Pharmacist for Community Services within Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP), part of Mid-Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. My role covers a lot of areas, but mainly involves supporting community nursing teams and other specialist services with the safe management of medicines. I am also Non-Medical Prescribing Lead for CCICP.

I also work with nursing teams and our Pharmacy Technician based in local Special School’s as well as specialist teams that cross into the acute hospital setting.

As well as community services I am also passionate about education and work one a day week as a Medical Education Pharmacist within The University of Liverpool School of Medicine embedding safe prescribing across the curriculum.

My aspiration for the Advisory Group is to champion the role and importance of Pharmacy within Primary Care both externally to the wider multi-disciplinary team and within the profession itself, promoting Primary Care as a career option from undergraduate level. I hope the Advisory Group becomes a way of ensuring support and best practice can be shared out and made available as we move towards an integrated healthcare system.
