Cheryl lives in Penarth and was a registered Pharmacist in Great Britain from July 1980 until December 2015 after her Pre-Registration Pharmacy Graduate/ Scientific Officer, Epsom District Hospital and Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Epsom 1979-1980.

Cheryl worked as Principal Pharmacist for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and was the National Pharmacy and Medicines Management Lead, NHS Wales Informatics Service gaining very valuable experience along the way.

Cheryl has been a Chair for the National Association of Women Pharmacists, Cardiff Branch since 2007 as well as a Member of the Welsh Chief Pharmacists' Committee and a member of Cardiff & Vale Local Practice Forum Steering Group. 

Cheryl was also Chair of the NHS Wales Informatics Service Medicines Transcribing and e-discharge Project Board and a Member of the NHS Wales Informatics Service Welsh Clinical Portal Programme Board. 

Cheryl was also a member of the IT Interest Group Committee of the Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists and United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association from 2008-2012 and Chair of the IM&T Subgroup of the Welsh Chief Pharmacists’ Committee between 2004–2009. 

On top of all of this, Cheryl was the Welsh representative on the Hospital Pharmacists’ Group Committee of the RPSGB from 1997-2000!
