Professional experience and particular interests:

Brendon registered as a pharmacist in New Zealand before immigrating and re-registering in the UK. With a background in community pharmacy, Brendon held various roles from store based to locum pharmacist, pharmacist store manager, group pharmacist manager, flagship pharmacist manager and superintendent pharmacist. He has always had a passion for pharmacy services and was involved in supporting the development of the Boots erectile dysfunction service.

Brendon was part of the first wave of NHS-funded clinical pharmacists in General Practice, joining a group of practices in Somerset. His work included developing a post-discharge domiciliary medication review service, which was shortlisted for the NHS70 Excellence in Primary Care parliamentary awards. An advocate of patient centred, evidence based medicine, he joined the NICE Medicines and Prescribing Associates. He has represented primary care pharmacy nationally through the Pharmacy and Public Health Forum and as a committee member of the Primary Care Pharmacy Association.

He is now the Senior Clinical Pharmacist of NORA PCN, leading a pharmacy team of eight professionals improving the health of approximately 50,000 patients with a focus on medicines optimisation, service development, system integration and tackling health inequalities.
