Professional experience and particular interests:

Extensive experience as a pharmacist in hospital, community and primary care. Broad management and commercial experience from 15 years as Chief Pharmacist in two leading London independent hospitals. During this time gained a Diploma in Accounting and Finance and a Masters in Health Management (Health MBA).

Currently has portfolio consultancy role mainly in primary care and across interfaces of different care settings, working to integrate the role of pharmacy into patient pathways to improve joined-up pharmaceutical care in collaboration with GPs.

Board member of the RPS 2012-15, Board Lead for Medicines Optimisation and involved in the development of the RPS MO principles. Represents RPS as a member of National Steering Group for PPRS/Medicines Optimisation and nominated to represent Steering Group on AMRC Choosing Wisely programme. Member of the RPS Innovators Forum.

In practice manages a successful care home medication reviews service in Brighton and Hove for over 1000 residents - now entering its fifth year. Strategic Pharmacist Lead for KSS AHSN Polypharmacy Project.

Chair of Primary Care Pharmacists Association.

Awarded RPS Fellowship for services to the pharmacy profession in 2014.
