Adam is currently Deputy Head of Pharmacy for Primary and Community Care at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
Adam has a very broad background in pharmacy, encompassing community, secure environment and primary care pharmacy. Adam has a PhD in Pharmacy Practice from Aston University, and has worked in pharmacy education and as the associate editor of the Journal of Addictive Diseases.
Adam has undertaken extensive research at local, national and international levels, focusing on public health interventions and the role of pharmacy within an integrated healthcare system. He has worked with a range of collaborators to undertake research to improve effectiveness, cost effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services to improve patient outcomes.
Adam has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in leading journals, as well as reports, practice guidance, articles and a textbook chapter and presented his work at leading peer reviewed national and international conferences.
Adam was elected to the Welsh Pharmacy Board in May 2019.
