Membership Fees 2023

Today we announced that we are increasing our membership fees by 5%.

Whilst this is considerably less than inflation, currently at 10.7%, we fully appreciate that this may be difficult news given the impact of the ongoing cost of living crisis. We know you’re at the sharp end, working harder than ever to help patients. All of us know that due to inflation our household budgets don’t stretch as far as they used to.

As your professional leadership body we’re also exposed to ever-growing cost pressures resulting from global and domestic economic events. We constantly review our business practices to find savings and work more efficiently. That’s why we’ve been able to avoid increasing membership fees by the rate of inflation and restrict the fee increase to 5%.

For full members, the increase will mean your fee rises by just under one pound a month. We have a variety of fees for different types of membership and a range of ways to pay to suit your budget.

I’d also urge you to make full use of the tax rebate for professional fees which is available from HMRC. If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can obtain tax relief on your annual RPS membership fee which will significantly reduce the cost – find out more on our website.

We’re here to support you throughout your career and as the home of the profession look forward to welcoming you to another year of membership.
