Why your equality, inclusion and diversity data matters

Our annual survey to collect your equality, diversity and inclusion data is now live. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

We want to make sure that our membership includes and represents the diversity within our profession. Your data is essential to help us better understand this, measure our progress and focus on where we need to improve diversity. Understanding our membership will enable us to understand the differences between different groups in satisfaction, engagement and representation. This in turn will enable us to look at our activities to see if there are any discriminatory practices or unintended consequences of our policies or the way we work with you.

The survey is completely anonymous, but to ensure the data is collected only from members of RPS you’ll need to log in with your membership number first to get past the firewall. However, the data we collect from you will not be stored, linked to the personal data we hold for you as an RPS member and will not be passed to anyone else.

We make sure we benchmark against GPhC registrant data to see how we compare with the bigger picture too. As a professional leadership body, we want to ensure there is diverse representation in our decision-making processes, national boards and advisory groups.

Over time we hope that this data will give an increasingly accurate picture of the make-up of our membership, helping to ensure our services are inclusive and accessible to all and that we can serve you better.

Our EDI survey reflects our commitment to making inclusion and diversity central to the profession, giving us information that will be critical in our aim to create a culture of belonging in pharmacy and monitor the impact of our work.

We want to encourage voices that express the diversity of lived experiences in the profession as part of our inclusion and diversity work. If you’d like to share your story, contact [email protected] or get involved through our ABCD group.
