Faculty assessment

Once you've entered evidence into your portfolio, and mapped these to the Advanced Pharmacy Framework for each competency, you're ready to be assessed.
We recommend having about 20 - 25 entries in your portfolio before submitting for assessment.

There are three to four components to the assessment process:

  1. practice-based portfolio, using the "My CPD Portfolio".
  2. Peer assessment or review using the online Peer Assessment Tool.
  3. An up-to-date CV.
  4. Practice assessment *
An oral assessment demonstrating the depth of your knowledge and skills.

* The requirements are different for those who have been practising for over 10 years to those who are re-submitting or have been on the register between 2 - 10 years.

What happens after I've submitted for assessment?

Our assessors will review your experience and, if successful, award you at one of three stages of advanced practice, in recognition of your achievement. You'll receive a certificate of your achievement and be able to start using the relevant post-nominals.

You’ll also receive a personal Faculty Assessment Report with valuable feedback from peers to help you make the most of your potential and find out where to take your professional development next.
