Expert Professional Practice Curricula
The RPS together with specialist interest groups produced a number of Expert Professional Practice (EPP) Curricula. These provide an overview of the recommended knowledge, skills, experiences and behaviours required to practice at foundation, advanced and expert stages in each particular area of practice and in line with the professional scope set out in the Foundation Practice Framework (FPF) and Advanced Pharmacy Framework (APF).
The majority of the EPP curricula available were published in 2014, with an update currently underway.
Please note that most of the EPP curricula available below were published in 2014 and are no longer up-to-date.
The RPS has been working with generalists and specialists from across the profession to develop Knowledge Guides which provide pharmacists with an overview of the recommended underpinning knowledge required for pharmacy practice in a particular sector or setting.
These guides identify what is common across different areas of practice, as well as what may be unique or specific to a role. These are being collated by care setting, starting with community, primary and secondary care, and aim to support the development of pharmacists from foundation through to advanced generalist and specialist practice, as well as pharmacists transitioning to roles in different care environments.
Updated versions will be published over 2018, and work will continue to develop Knowledge Guides for all other areas of practice.
