The society has existed since 1841. However, major changes in publishing, the professional environment of pharmacists, and the fact the Society no longer has a "closed shop" after the loss of the regulator function to the GPhC makes this arguably a more challenging time. RPS board and assembly members have to manage the substantial (yet stretched) assets of the society carefully for the benefit of the membership (and future generations of pharmacists) by working as a team (despite sometimes differing policy views), and have to make tough and potentially unpopular (in the eyes of the members) decisions. What skills or experience do you bring to the board/assembly in this regard?
