Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom regarding the transportation of IMPs? We are looking at treating some of our trust patients at a clinical research centre, across the road, due to lack of space withn the hospital (these patients require quite a lengthy stay). We will be making the drugs up in our aseptic unit and transporting them over to the centre. It was my understanding that we would require an IMP license to transport the drugs however, I am told that we may be able to get around it by having a SLA or agreement with the treating centre so long as we only treat our trust patients.
Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? I would be grateful for all comments.
