Can anyone help me with a simple query around prescribing for which I have had two answers from a number of sources - both as certain and resolute as each other but opposing as well.
Subject to current competencies, can pharmacist prescribers also adminster what they prescribe eg travel vaccines? Common sense dictates we can but only because I haven't found anything that says we can't and GPs/nurses don't need to attend annual courses to do so. On the downside I cannot find insurance (even with the NPA) which covers us which means maybe we can't (but I have sourced an underwriter who could be willing).
Any help is gratefully accepted as I don't want to bring our esteemed PLB or our profession into any controversy and I am seriously allergic to proceedings by the GPhC.
