As you are aware earlier this year the Royal Pharmaceutical Society updated the RPS Professional Standards for Hospital Pharmacy Services, a summary of the changes to the standards can be found on the RPS website at www.rpharms.com/hospitalstandards.
The refreshed standards give more emphasis to key themes including the need to increase patient involvement and feedback in the development, delivery and improvement of pharmacy services. One area that members putting the standards into practice locally have asked us for support with is how to capture patient experience in a meaningful way. In response to this we want to identify and share good practice from across GB and as a starting point we are writing to you to ask for examples of how patient experience is being collected and/or measured in your area.
If your organisation currently measures (or has plans to measure) patient experience we would very much like to hear from you; please do get in touch with Miriam Gichuhi ([email protected]) with details by Friday 28th November 2014 . Additionally, if you would like to be involved in the further development of our work around patient experience we would love to hear from you.
