All pharmacists in GP surgeries in England can now access MedicinesComplete

Please note this arrangement applied during the COVID-19 pandemic only and is now closed.

Thanks to the Specialist Pharmacy Service, pharmacists in general practice across England now have access to essential medicines information through MedicinesComplete, a Pharmaceutical Press product from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

In response to feedback from pharmacy teams who were finding access to resources a barrier to effective management of medicines related issues in general practice, the Specialist Pharmacy Service and Health Education England worked closely with Pharmaceutical Press to resolve the problem. Access to evidence-based and trusted resources used at the point of care, include Stockley’s Drug Interactions, Palliative Care Formulary, Drug administration via enteral feeding tubes, Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation, Stockley’s Herbal Medicines and Herbal Medicines.

Specialist Pharmacy Service joins NHS Education for Scotland and the Health Service Executive who already support their teams to make decisions and improve patient care with access to MedicinesComplete provided through The Knowledge Network and the HSE Library.
