Applications to join new RPS Expert Advisory Groups now open

We are recruiting members for three new Expert Advisory Groups, which are being set up to provide a fresh source of expertise on issues relating to the pharmacy profession.

The groups will work on issues relevant to their specific field and help to give us a strong representation in the area of practice, across England, Scotland and Wales.

The new groups are as follows:

Like other Expert Advisory Groups, they will serve as consultative panels for RPS Boards, giving expert advice to inform policy decisions and workplans, as well as engaging with the profession and providing leadership in practice for the RPS.

Applications to join the new groups are now open and will close on 30 April 2021. The appointments of members and chairs will be announced in May.

Sandra Gidley, President of the RPS, said:

“We are delighted to be launching these groups to help and lead on some of the key issues impacting our profession. These groups will provide great expertise and work to identify areas on how best we can support our workforce in terms of developing and delivering professional development, practice support and advocacy.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for our members to contribute to RPS policy making and use their experience to help us set agenda priorities in these topic areas. If you work in primary care, community pharmacy or have expertise in digital, I encourage you to apply and join.”
