COVID-19 vaccination resources supporting people taking the vaccination

Pharmacists can use the resources developed by Public Health England (PHE) to answer any questions or concerns people may have on taking the new coronavirus vaccination. The resources  found on the COVID-19 vaccination programme page include detailed guidance on the following:

  • COVID-19 vaccination: women of childbearing age, currently pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. This includes information on evidence reviewed by MHRA and what this means for women who are of childbearing age, currently pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • COVID-19 vaccination: guide for older adults.  A leaflet to explain the COVID-19 vaccination, who is eligible and who needs to have the vaccine to protect them from Coronavirus.
  • COVID-19 vaccination: guide for healthcare workers. Covers the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccination, any side effects associated with this and protection given to healthcare workers and the people they care for.
  • COVID-19 vaccination: a guide for social care staff. Covers the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccination, any side effects associated with this and protection given to healthcare workers and the people they care for.
  • COVID-19 vaccination: what to expect after vaccination. This covers information on side effects of the vaccine, what patients can do after taking the vaccine and the level of protection the vaccine offers.
  • COVID-19 vaccination: why you are being asked to wait. Includes information on eligible groups and where to get the vaccine.
