Clinical guidance for common conditions and symptoms now available

Pharmaceutical Press, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s knowledge business and Clarity Informatics are today announcing a partnership. In January 2021, the clinical guidance for common conditions and symptoms known as Prodigy, will be made available to overseas healthcare professionals as a new resource, Clarity’s Diagnosis and Treatment Guidance, online through MedicinesComplete.

Clarity's Diagnosis and Treatment Guidance provides healthcare professionals with trusted, concise summaries of current evidence and prescribing information to support clinical decisions on a patient’s diagnosis and treatment.

Karen Baxter, Pharmaceutical Press Managing Director, said “I am delighted to be partnering with Clarity, who very much share our ambition to empower clinicians with evidence-based, trusted medicines information. Both organisations are always looking for ways to provide pharmacists, doctors and nurses with easy access to content that can support their decision making. Being able to include Clarity’s Diagnosis and Treatment Guidance alongside our already rich resource portfolio on MedicinesComplete, means an even wider range of clinicians will be able to access this valuable resource.”

Tim Sewart, CEO of Clarity Informatics said “We are very pleased to be partnering with such a prestigious organisation as the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. We have always strived to provide clinical information of the highest quality, and our dedicated team of clinicians and researchers have over 20 years’ experience of providing guidance and resources to medical practitioners. We are thrilled that healthcare professionals around the world will be able to access this knowledge through MedicinesComplete.”

The clinical guidance is developed and updated with the best available evidence from NICE-accredited sources, including NICE guidance and Cochrane systematic reviews, together with primary research and expert opinion. Covering over 370 clinical topics for use in primary care, each summary is referenced and linked to source evidence and covers over 1,200 clinical presentations or patient scenarios.
