The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Neville Carter as its new Chief Education and Membership Officer.
After a rigorous selection process and chosen from amongst an exceptionally strong field of candidates, Neville joins RPS from the Royal Society of Medicine where he is currently Director of Engagement.
In that role he has been leading a team of over 60 and was responsible for creating a combined directorate accountable for education, membership, philanthropy, and business development. In particular, he has led on the development of a digital education strategy and launched professional development training programmes for members.
Prior to joining the RSM, Neville worked as Director of Product and Sales at the British Medical Association with responsibility for membership growth, supporting corporate transformation and developing and managing member benefit and relationships with third-party providers to support revenue growth. He also has senior manager experience at the RAC and at British Airways.
RPS is committed to championing the profession and its role in education as a fundamental part of enhancing our offer to members. Our membership and education propositions are inextricably linked, and Neville will be responsible for the development and implementation of our integrated education and membership strategy, providing an expanded and integrated educational and professional development offer and increasing the organisation’s appeal and relevance to an ever wider and more diverse audience.

“I have already met some very welcoming and passionate people who care deeply about the Society, and I hope I can bring some of my experiences to bear in the challenges ahead.”
Neville joins the RPS in October.
