Update on our vision for pharmacy practice in England

We’ve had a huge response to our exciting project with The King’s Fund to set out a vision for transforming pharmacy practice in England over the next decade.

Consulting with you and key organisations, our vision will set out the role of and value of pharmacists and pharmacy teams working across systems providing patient care and NHS services. It’s due to be published at the end of this year.

Over 200 of you joined us from across the profession to help shape the themes for the vision at our open webinars in June. Our stakeholder work also continues, with a roundtable held last week with community pharmacy organisations.

We’ve just published the project’s literature review by The King’s Fund which pulls together research on pharmacy and highlights emerging themes. We’ll be consulting on the themes during August-September when you can share your views through virtual and face-to-face events.

Our advisory group, comprised of health and care leaders, has now met for the second time to discuss the key challenges facing the health service and how pharmacy contribute.

If you have any queries about the project, want to discuss it or share any case studies with us, please get in touch with via [email protected]
